"Sex Education"

I would recommend a series from the UK called "Sex Education". This show is of the comedy-drama genre and was premiered in 2018, directed by Laurie Nunn. As a summary, the series tells events about the issues of some adolescents in a school from the city. The first season follows the story of Otis Milburn, a socially awkward young man who is ambivalent about sex, due to their mother being a sexual therapist that is frank about a aspects from sexuality. After inadvertently helping the school harasser with their sexual anxiety, Otis establishes a business about sexual counseling with Maeve, a confident but rather problematic classmate, to educate their classmates about how to deal with their own sexual issues. I think that, besides being very entertaining to watch, it is quite educational for the young, because it visualizes the difficulties that involve women and sexual dissent in a society that is surrounded in social norms that discriminates them sistematically. Website.

  The website I have used the most because of how useful it has been is the platform for epistemology and critical approaches of social work. It is a website created by the teacher Teresa Matus and his assistant Estefanía Vilches, which gives us access to content from the subject, as well as access to many articles or texts related to the units we are studying and the recordings of our classes. I visit this website every time I have the need to study about a recent class, or when I need more sources for my bibliography in reports or exams. In this case, I'd say that every week I visit the website at least once or twice, because every week we review something that requires me to study. I consider that it is a very relevant website for our university semester in the subject "Critical approaches for Social work", because it has helped quite a lot with the tools it provides to us. Mi favourite subject.

  My favourite subject this year was Contemporary Social History. I had this subject during my first semester and we were studying the history of America and Europe from the XVIII century to the XX century. During highschool, my favourite subject was history, and studying it in an university with a much detailed and wider view was marvelous. It helped me to learn how history events ended up happening in latin-america from the popular class and the role that they played in the creation of new societies. The subject was composed of three units. The first one was about the history of latin-america during the invasion of european colonies and the first independency processes. The second one analized the economic and political procresses that surged in Europe product of the industrial revolution and the impact that it generated in latin-america. The third unit was about events from the first world war.

My favorite picture

  I am the one who appears in this picture. I was 13 years old and was playing a soccer match with a shirt of the Chilean soccer team "Universidad de Chile". It was my first soccer match for the "Talento Azul" cup from that year. I like that picture a lot because it reminds me of those years when I used to play soccer quite often and was happy doing it. Moreover, in the team I am still a fan of even nowadays. I was never good at soccer, though. When I was younger, I had the goal of being a soccer player, but I was not talented for it, even the most basic of sports were difficult for me, but I had quite a lot of motivation and just made the effort of trying to be a decent player every day. Having had the opportunity to play in that match and many others is a good memory I have. I still regret stopping my practice in that sport. That picture was taken by a photographer of the cup in the day of the match, and I have kept the picture ever since.

Lasagna

  The food I like the most is lasagna. Lasagna is a type of pasta that is made from different layers of ingredients such as meat, cheese, vegetables, sauce, etc. To cook this meal, first of all you have to cook the layers of pasta that are going to be used for the lasagna. In case the lasagna is pre-cooked, cooking the pasta layers for 10 to 15 minutes will be enough to then add the necessary ingredients for each layer. The total duration of the cooking process varies depending on how many and what ingredients are being used. Lasagna is made by many ingredients that I like quite a lot, like cheese, soy meat and sauces. I am aware that eating lots of lasagna is not beneficial for your health, due to the calories that the pasta and cheese have.

My mobile phone

  My favourite piece of tecnology is my mobile phone. I use it daily, to communicate with friends or acquaintances. It is also used to take pictures or take notes in an important moment. Besides, it is very useful to accommodate my schedule of important things I must do daily, because of the alarms you can set up. Obviously, not having access to a mobile phone with these characteristics would limit my life quite a lot, because I would not have access to these features to communicate and organize my days. I consider that the access to this device, regardless of the model or version, is necessary for the current life of most people. For university students that need to organize their calendars pretty often, for resting hours, to constantly take notes, or even watch classes online in unexpected situations, this device is of great help.

My career

  I'm a first-year student of Social work. When I was younger, I wanted to be a soccer player, but I was pretty bad at it, so it was not a realistic option. I was never sure about what to do until I was in high school, where my interest in history and politics grew. From that, many options were born (Science, politics, history, sociology, etc.) At the end of high school, I discovered Social work, and I was convinced that this was what I wanted. A carreer where you learn about social sciences widely and you play an important role in the intervention of the vulnerability and violent situations of society. My short stay in this university has been difficult, having put my carreer on hold last year, but right now, I am sure that I want to continue this.
